The "SUSTOUR-MED" project organized two national workshops in Greece as part of its initiative to promote sustainable practices in the tourism industry.
The workshops, held on June 5th and June 16th, 2023, at Green Village Hotel in Xylokastro, aimed to engage tourism professionals, educators, and learners in discussions about integrating sustainability into tourism practices. Led by instructors Georgios Triantafyllou and Dimitris Triantafyllou, the workshops introduced the SUSTOUR-MED Guide and emphasized the importance of sustainable tourism.
The events facilitated productive discussions, highlighted practical examples, and received positive feedback from participants, including educators, learners, and tourism stakeholders. The workshops effectively increased awareness and motivation for sustainable practices within the industry and fostered collaboration between Green Village and the local tourism community, positioning the hotel as a sustainability leader in the region.
